Company appoints welding demonstrator

Tony Follows will demonstrate and advise customers on the selection of the correct welding process and equipment for the work being carried out.

Wilkinson Star has appointed Tony Follows as a Welding Products Demonstrator in the company's new formed Welding Technical Support Team.

His role will be to demonstrate and advise customers on the selection of the correct welding process and equipment for the work being carried out.

He joins the new six-man team covering the whole of the United Kingdom under Alan Smith as Operations Manager.

He is a career welder and fabricator having served his apprenticeship in pipework and fabrication welding.

He is experienced in the use of all welding processes including MIG, TIG, MMA, plasma and resistance welding.

For the last 10 years, he was employed by a Manchester-based fabrication company as a welder and fabricator, becoming involved with their customers' CNC work as well as advising them on the best practice in fabrications.

Follows (34) is married with two children and lives in Leigh.

He lists skiing and mountain biking as his outside interests.
