Generator gives X-ray quality welds
Wilkinson Star's MOSA DSP 500 PS has a multi-purpose DC ripple-free welding capability including MMA, MIG, both solid and flux cored wire and TIG.
Wilkinson Star has released the Mosa DSP (Digital Signal Processing) 500 PS water-cooled diesel driven welder generating set with chopper technology complementing Mosa's existing 400A, 600A and 2 x 400A Perkins powered 1500rev/min machines This new multi-process (MIG, TIG and MMA) welder generator meets EEC directives and is designed for use on pipelines producing X-ray quality welds, arduous on-site fabrication, petrochemical plants, heavy plant maintenance, offshore operation as well as on-site general purpose welding and maintenance and is also suitable for the hire market

Tri Star is a multipurpose welder designed for MIG/MAG, MIG brazing, MMA and DC TIG welding using either a 230V 50/60Hz power supply or a generator.
It has multi-purpose DC ripple-free welding capability including MMA, MIG, both solid and flux cored wire and TIG.
The constant current (CC) range is 10 - 500A at 35% duty cycle for MMA and TIG welding, whilst for MIG welding the constant voltage (CV) range is 16-44V with 35% duty cycle at 450A.
It can provide three-phase AC auxiliary power at 16kVA/400V/23.1 A and single-phase AC generation at 12kVA/230V/52.2A with a single-phase option of 6kVA/110V/54.5A.
The Perkins 404 C-22G water-cooled, four-cylinder diesel engine has a low 69dB(A) noise level at 7m, a 60 litre fuel tank giving up to 15 hours running time at 60% duty cycle, providing 20.3kW output.
Fuel consumption is 243g/kWh.
It has as standard electric start, hour meter, low fuel indicator, low oil pressure warning, voltmeter and are all super silenced to meet EU noise and safety regulations.
Options include site and road tow capability, MIG wire feeder, remote controls, 15 and 20m, 50mm2 welding cables and auxiliary power plugs as well as a voltage reduction device version.
