Sales of Walsall's ATEX-approved GRP and sheet steel junction boxes and enclosures have risen by a staggering 300% in the past 12 months.

Sales of Walsall's ATEX-approved GRP and sheet steel junction boxes and enclosures have risen by a staggering 300% in the past 12 months.

Walsall, the privately owned UK manufacturer of electrical equipment for hazardous environments, has seen overall sales increase by 21% in the last quarter alone, but the increase in steel junction boxes and enclosures has exceeded even managing director Robert Whorrod's expectations.

As he says: "We have invested heavily in enabling Walsall to produce quality products in fast turnaround times, and this investment is paying off faster than we could have anticipated".

"There is clearly a demand from customers for reliable production of custom-made junction boxes, and fast delivery we have made these priorities in our production process.

Walsall provides a same-day quotation service, next-day delivery in the UK and fast delivery internationally".

"Our in-house capacity enables us to rigidly enforce quality control and minimise manufacturing lead times, enabling us to compete successfully on the international market with the large US, German and South-East Asian suppliers.

In recognition of the quality of our work, all our products have ATEX certification".
