Walsall is planning to expand its share of the overseas market with the appointment of Kal Singh to Export Sales Manager.

Walsall is planning to expand its share of the overseas market with the appointment of Kal Singh to Export Sales Manager.

Singh, formerly a Technical Sales manager at PFP Electrical Products in Birmingham, comes to Walsall with 14 years experience of the electrical industry.

Having dealt primarily with flameproof equipment and fittings at PFP, Singh's remit is to promote Walsall's much wider product range to companies worldwide.

Singh comments, "The Walsall products are excellent, and have an established reputation overseas for quality, reliability and longevity.

It is my job to build on this.

Our lighting in particular is very competitive, and Walsall control stations are the very best in the industry".

"For me personally, joining a smaller, family-owned company makes this a much more hands-on operation with greater involvement in all aspects of the business.

My target is simple: to continue Walsallūs profit growth by expanding our export market".

Managing Director Rob Whorrod adds, "Manufacturing the bulk of Walsall products in-house, and rigidly controlling quality and manufacturing lead times enables us to compete successfully on the international market alongside the large US, German and South-East Asian suppliers.

We're already an established international supplier, but with Kal on board dedicated to the export market, we anticipate growing our share substantially".
