Four-row linear guides provide capacity boost

A WMH Transmissions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 23, 2008

The HG series guideways are designed for load capacity and rigidity over 30% higher than similar products with a circular-arc groove and structure.

WMH Transmissions is now HIWIN's main agent for the UK, following the liquidation of Precision Movement Specialists.

WMH will distribute the HG four-row series of linear guides and rails up to size 65.

The HG series guideways are designed for load capacity and rigidity over 30% higher than similar products with a circular-arc groove and structure.

The HG four-row super-heavy load range has a basic static load rating of up to 457kN.

The full HG range of rails is stocked at its UK manufacturing and storage facility in Tamworth.

It also offers an in-house service to cut rails to any length, usually with same-day despatch.

The rail ends can be ground to facilitate butt joints for continuous mounting.

WMH also offers the HIWIN EG four-row, low-profile range, perfect for high speed automation equipment and other applications where space constraint is a concern.

These are available in sizes 15 to 30 with a basic static load rating up to 47.46kN.

WMH also offers the HIWIN MG range, stainless steel miniature guides and rails and ballscrews up to 80mm diameter with industry-standard nuts.

Using its in-house machine shop, WMH also offers a ballscrew and leadscrew machining service to suit its ex-stock Duki-Tec ballscrew support units.

These screws can be machined to either standard recommended dimensions or customer specifications.
