Online commerce and CAD models boost business

"We're keeping one step ahead in our marketplace by offering online shopping, as well as 3D-CAD", said John Winkler Jr, CEO of JW Winco.

"Since implementing the CAD solution in April of 2006, we are already seeing over 850 downloads of our CAD models per month, generation of online sales leads are up by more than 25%, and we've registered over 3000 web users to date".

The 3D CAD module technology is provided by Catalog Data Solutions (CDS), a provider of online product selection tools for industrial suppliers and distributors.

"By providing free downloadable 3D CAD models, we not only provide a product, but save our customers time which in turn helps them do their jobs faster", Winkler said.

"With CDS technology, our website is readily accessible from within Pro/Engineer Wildfire", Winkler explains.

"When engineers or designers want to add a caster or a handle to the 3D CAD design, they simply visit our site, log in with their e-mail address, and download the file format they require".

"That allows our customers to work more efficiently, and simplify their product search when building their machines".

The e-store for online purchasing allows users to check pricing for over 18,000 parts and make purchases by credit card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All shoppers receive free UPS ground shipping for orders over $15.
