Worbo is introducing a full range of Cool-Skin non-fibrous, removable, user-friendly, high-temperature insulation products in the form of sleeves, wraps, blankets, tapes and custom-designed component insulation.

Worbo's progress in high-temperature insulation technology helps industry reduce the potential for burn injuries in the workplace.

Thermal burn injuries caused by accidental contact with high-temperature surfaces are among industry's leading causes for workplace accidents and injury lost time.

Areas typically elusive to traditional insulation technologies are medium- to high-temperature flexible hoses, tight bend radiuses, small diameter tubing and piping, irregular shaped process segments, oil jacketed jumper hoses and other high-temperature irregularly shaped system components.

Rubber-coated fiberglass sleeves are too thin and do not provide effective burn protection for medium- to high-temperature surfaces.

In many cases, thin rubber-coated fiberglass sleeves will actually increase the heat losses in high-temperature lines.

Traditional insulation technology using fibrous insulating materials and a hard aluminum outer cladding require the expertise and skills of a professional contractor to complete the work.

Thick fibrous insulation with hard cladding is non-removable, non-flexible and too difficult and expensive to install in these areas, so they are normally left bare.

The introduction of the Cool-Skin line of high-temperature insulation burn-protection products finally offers distributors, OEMs and end-users an excellent way of covering difficult high-temperature areas to help reduce the potential for burn injuries and create a safer working environment for personnel.

Cool-Skin high-temperature insulation sleeving is easily cut to length and quickly installed in the field by the customer's own personnel.

There are no loose fibers, airborne particulates, or end fraying when cutting Worbo's high-temperature insulating sleeve to length in the field with a standard pair of scissors.

Unlike traditional insulation, the hook-and-loop self-gripping fastener incorporated into the Cool-Skin design makes for an easy, effective installation - or removal - in seconds.

Cool-Skin's simple hook-and-loop fastener design allows staff to access process lines hundreds of times while performing maintenance procedures or troubleshooting system components.

Once line interruption is complete, Cool-Skin is re-installed in seconds to lower the risk of burn injury due to contact with high-temperature hoses, pipes or equipment.

Introducing industry to Worbo's Cool-Skin line of high-temperature protection products will help demonstrate unrealised energy savings while creating a safer workplace environment.
