Original Meco air-purged seals effectively contain dry, abrasive, bulk powders, pastes, and slurries in screw conveyors and other rotating equipment.

Original Meco air-purged seals effectively contain dry, abrasive, bulk powders, pastes, and slurries in screw conveyors and other rotating equipment.

Meco seals can increase MTBF by a factor of four or more over packing and can be quickly rebuilt on site.

The fully split versions permit installation and maintenance without disturbing the bearing or drive assembly.

The patented Meco concept is based on the use of a driving elastomer, which corotates with the shaft.

As this self-compensating driving elastomer is the seal's only interface with the shaft, Meco seals accommodate significant radial and angular shaft misalignment and shock loads while protecting the shaft and bearings from abrasion damage.

Designed to accommodate shaft runout of 6mm TIR and more, Meco seals are ideally suited to horizontal or inclined screw conveyor applications.

FDA-approved materials are available.

Meco is the original high-runout seal for screw conveyors.

The manufacturer, Woodex Bearing Company, also makes wooden screw conveyor hanger bearings and roll end bearings.
