Split shaft seals suit blenders
Meco seals offer complete containment of dry powders, pastes, slurries, corrosives, fluids, solvents, vapours and gases, where traditional packings fail to seal.

Drive mechanism increases seal integrity
Meco engineers have developed a new, patented drive mechanism, which augments the sealing capabilities of Meco seals.
The patented Meco seal concept is based on the use of a driving elastomer; there are no fixed-load springs to loosen, corrode or break.
As the self-compensating driving elastomer is the only interface with the shaft, the seals accommodate significant radial and angular shaft misalignment and shock loads, as well as thermal growth in high-temperature processes.
Meco incorporates a minimum of 6mm of total runout/misalignment capacity into its seal designs.
Sanitary designs are available which can be easily disassembled for routine cleaning: ideal for abrasive powder processes in food and pharmaceutical industries, where frequent product changes and washdowns are required.
Seals can also be fitted with flush water inlet and drain ports for in-place cleanouts. Request a free brochure from Meco Shaft Seals ...
