The OFS outside face seal was originally designed for high-temperature and high-speed applications where double-face seals can overheat and fail.
The OFS outside face seal is the newest patented shaft seal design from Meco.
These single-face seals were originally designed for high-temperature and high-speed applications where double-face seals can overheat and fail.
OFS seals are ideal for the containment of vapours in vertical shaft vessels and can operate without a purge or flush system.
The OFS can handle both axial shaft motion and a large degree of shaft run-out.
Meco earned its most recent patent for this design, which maintains constant seal face pressure as components wear.
OFS seals can contain a high degree of vacuum and run at high temperatures on a wide variety of process machinery.
All Meco seals are custom-engineered to suit individual applications and are available fully split for quick installation without removal of bearing or drive.
