Export sucess for hand-held safety torches
Recent notable export orders for Wolf's hand-held safety torches have come from Total Oil in France, marine customers in Korea and a petrochemical plant in Syria
Wolf Safety's intrinsically safe torches, for use in potentially explosive atmospheres or emergency situations, are now utilized in over 50 countries throughout the world.
Recent orders include one from Groupe Leader, the company's agent in France, who has placed an order for 500 three cell right angle head models, for use at Total oil refineries and garage forecourts.
Dae Myung, Wolf's distributor in Korea, has also just ordered 400 two cell torches for three of its marine customers.
Other recent notable export orders for the hand-held safety torches have come from a petrochemical plant in Syria, an initial stock order from Wolf Safety's new agent in Venezuela who supplies the local oil industry and a pilot order for Saudi Arabia destined for Saudi Aramco.
Closer to Wolf Safety's base in Sheffield, Lincolnshire Fire Brigade has more than 600 torches in use, British Gas Transco is currently purchasing to a national contract and Tayside Fire Brigade have issued a letter of intent for 450 pieces.
Wolf Safety's range of intrinsically safe torches is widely used throughout the UK and abroad, in fire fighting, as breathing apparatus torches, gas distribution and water treatment applications, wherever explosive gas and vapours might accumulate in confined spaces.
Available in two and three, straight and right angle heads, all Wolf Safety torches incorporate a highly acclaimed, unique optical focusing system which will provide a variable beam adjustment from a powerful pencil beam focus to a broader floodlit illumination.
The unique Ex.
Construction of the torches incorporates two separate explosion-protected enclosures; a lockable 'e' increased safety enclosure containing the internal rotating switch and bulb, and an 'ib' intrinsically safe enclosure for dry batteries, allowing replacement of cells, even in hazardous areas.
Each torch comes complete with a lock release pin, wrist lanyard and maintenance instructions.
Certification is for Carbon Zinc R20 type primary cells but also includes specifically Ever Ready Zinc Chloride 'Ultra Plus' type R20 cells.
