Pinch valves are engineered for tough slurry

JEC Woodland offers pinch valves with an open-body design that are better engineered for tough slurry.

A rubber sleeve, also known as rubber muff or tube, is protected under a cast-iron or aluminum body.

The inside of this rubber sleeve has no crevices or indentations to allow slurry compound to collect and dry into hard, sharp material.

If the sleeve is damaged by service media, it can be easily replaced.

The collar of the sleeve eliminates gasket.

The closing patterns of these sleeves allow abrasive, corrosive slurry throttle control to zero-leakage shut-off.

In-between stoppages, Woodland pinch valves will allow the desired throttling while flowing through a straight pipeline in a fully open condition.

The pinch valves resist clogging and are suitable for tough applications that clog in the pipeline.

They can be operated by hand wheels, pneumatic actuators, hydraulic actuators or electrical actuators.

The rubber sleeves are available in natural, neoprene, butyl, hypalon, EPDM, SBR, viton or different blends to suit any application.

Applications include wastewater (effluent), iron, cement, caustic, lime, sand, chemicals or other abrasive, corrosive slurry, as well as liquid with solid suspensions and other media that is difficult to handle.

The flange of the pinch valve can be supplied in accordance to BS, DIN, ASA and IS dimensions.

The range for the pinch valve measurement is from 15mm to 300mm.

Anything above 300mm can be manufactured on request.

The valves can be pneumatically controlled, electrically controlled or hydraulically operated.
