The latest version of the SST Interbus module for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix includes Remote Link Library software, allowing users to remotely download changes to their programs This is done by routing data from Phoenix Contact's Configuration, Monitoring, and Diagnostics (CMD) software for Interbus through Rockwell Automation's RSLinx to the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix backplane

The SST Interbus module then takes this routed data and acts on the network as if the CMD data were directly connected through the local serial port.

This allows the user to now use their existing Interbus network to connect through a Rockwell Automation ControlLogix controller to RSLinx supported networks including Ethernet and serial networks.

The SST Interbus module for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix is referenced in the Rockwell Automation Encompass programme.

As quoted from the Rockwell Automation Encompass website: "The Encompass programme is a product referencing programme designed to identify, qualify, and jointly market third-party manufactured products that complement the breadth of world-class products developed by Rockwell Automation's global brands: Allen-Bradley, Reliance Electric, Rockwell Software and Dodge.

The programme enables customers to choose from a complementary array of products, expertise and industry knowledge, and allows them to confidently build a complete automation solution and a strong competitive advantage".

Woodhead Connectivity is also a member of Interbus Club USA.
