New UK distributor for steam traps appointed

Gestra has appointed BSS, which operates from a network of 55 branches across the UK, as sole distributor throughout the UK and Ireland for its range of steam traps and check valves.

Effective from January 2, 2002, the move follows an extensive review of market requirements.

BSS operates from a network of 55 branches across the UK and is firmly established as one of the country's leading distributors of heating, pipeline and process equipment.

BSS will be supported by Gestra's specialist field sales team, together with dedicated technical support staff based at IFC UK's headquarters in Haywards Heath.

BSS' technical sales team, design service and back up will complement Gestra personnel and enhance product selection, system design and specification.

The new relationship does not affect existing trading arrangements between IFC UK and BSS for the Worcester Controls product range.
