The new Logix 500 series digital positioner from Flowserve Flow Control Division enhances performance, control and operation for oil and gas extraction.
This unit combines state-of-the-art piezo valve technology with inner-loop feedback - providing high performance control with minimal air consumption.
The Logix 500 series positioner is quickly and easily configured at the valve.
Essential settings do not require a handheld device or a host system, and additionally auto-tuning allows simultaneous calibration and tuning of the positioner to the actuator by the user.
With the push of one button, the positioner can activate varying stroking speeds for actuators of all sizes.
Similar in cost to an analogue I/P positioner, the Logix 500 provides quick set-up and calibration, as well as high performance digital communications.
A versatile mounting enables fitment to any single acting actuator, regardless of the manufacturer.
Highly visible coloured LED status lights allow the user to diagnose the condition of the valve at a glance.
When used with Flowserve's SoftTools software, the positioner provides a wide range of information and functionality, including 21-point characterisation, dual-gain tuning, signatures for diagnostic purposes, together with performance and accuracy measurements.
