The Flowserve Logix 3200IQ has received two new IECEx Certificates of Conformity, enabling the digital positioner to be used in hazardous locations.
The Flowserve Logix 3200IQ has received two new IECEx Certificates of Conformity, enabling the digital positioner to be used in hazardous locations.
In addition, the Logix 3200IQ has received acceptance by the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Administration (KOSHA).
With the new IECEx certifications, customers in the Australia and Asia Pacific regions can take advantage of the reliability and excellent positioning performance of the 3200IQ.
The IECEx Certificates of Conformity verify that the 3200IQ complies with the standards set by the International Electrotechincal Commission (IEC) for electrical equipment operating in explosive atmospheres.
This eliminates the need for certifications from individual countries and makes international trade quicker, easier and more cost effective.
Customers can be assured that IECEx-certified products meet the high standards of the IEC, with no need for further testing or assessment of explosion safety.
The Ex certification bodies that have issued IECEx certificates to the 3200IQ are FM Approvals, based in the USA, and the Sira Certification Service (SCS), based in the UK.
Certificate IECEx FMG has been issued by FM Approvals for Ex ia IIC; certificate IECEx SIR 04.0023X has been issued by SCS for Ex d IIB+H2.
The Flowserve Logix 3200IQ high-performance digital positioner offers quick setup and calibration of either diaphragm- or piston-operated valves without the need for additional handheld devices, software or configuration/calibration tools.
As a "smart" Hart positioner, the 3200IQ can provide wide-ranging data to a facility's control system (DCS or PLC) or to its maintenance database software.

The Logix 3200IQ uses state-of-the-art piezo technology and inner-loop feedback to provide superior performance, control, and reliability with minimal air consumption in a compact, lightweight and modular design.
The Logix 3200IQ is used in industries employing control valves, such as oil and gas production and refining, chemical processing, and pulp and paper production.
It continues to gain acceptance in new markets and regions throughout the world.
