Interchangeable components on economic shaft seals

A Flowserve product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 22, 2001

ISC (Innovative Standard Cartridge) series of mechanical shaft seals offer interchangeability of major components including pusher, metal bellows and elastomer bellows

The flow solutions division of Flowserve Limited are exhibiting on stand number B96 at the Eurochem 2001 exhibition being held at the National Exhibition Centre during 5th-7th June 2001.

Being shown for the first time in the UK are their ISC (Innovative Standard Cartridge) series of mechanical shaft seals.

These economic seals offer interchangeability of major components including pusher, metal bellows and elastomer bellows which operate with common gland and sleeve platforms.

This provides maximum versatility for use with ANSI and DIN pumps typically used in chemical processing as well as a wide range of other industrial applications.

Their Mixerpac seals will also be exhibited.

These are designed for mixers, agitators, stirrers, kneaders, dryers and filters used throughout the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and general processing industries.

Excellent sealing performance is combined with provision for accommodating both axial and radial shaft movements and deflections.

These are low maintenance products that provide safety in the workplace and protection for the environment.

An extensive range of PAC-seals will also be on show featuring single spring 'O' ring, with elastomer bellows or diaphragm variations.

A wide range of seal configurations are available designed to provide superior flexibility coupled with non-clogging, self-adjusting and minimal wear characteristics.

A visit to the Flowserve stand is highly recommended for managers and engineers with responsibility for plant operation, performance and maintenance.

The strategic alliance partnership arrangements run by the company are now in operation at over 150 locations worldwide, and are aimed at fewer equipment failures by increasing MTBF times.

In addition, reduced seal inventory and maintenance requirements minimise running costs while overall reductions in downtime also lead to increased operating profitability.
