The Mixerpac series of mechanical shaft seals are standard wet lubricated products available in both single and double cartridge designs for mixers, agitators, stirrers, kneaders, dryers and filters

Purpose designed mechanical shaft seals for the efficient and effective use on mixers, agitators, stirrers, kneaders, dryers and filters etc can be supplied by the flow solutions division of Flowserve.

Called the Mixerpac series, these are standard wet lubricated products available in both single and double cartridge designs including DIN engineered options.

To ensure suitability for modern processing applications found within the chemical, pharmaceutical, food production and bio-engineering industries, these seals provide low-maintenance performance combined with the high-level operating safety for both the workplace and the environment.

Products can be supplied for use with steel or glass-lined mixing vessels covering top, bottom and side entry applications.

They can be supplied for operation with in-vessel pressures of vacuum to 6, 10 or 16 bar as standard, with medium and high pressure variations also available covering pressures of 40 and 250 bar respectively.

Specialised seals designed for sterile applications can also be supplied.

These feature smooth rounded external contours with few gaps and crevices.

Non-abrasive materials are used for seals and gaskets with non poisonous manufactured parts that do not age or corrode.

In addition the total assembly has good resistance to cleaning with steam, hot water, disinfectant and CIP.

The Mixerpac range features a split-seal modular cartridge design for easy installation and parts replacement.

Mixer seals suitable for wet and dry running are also available.

They can accommodate significant radial and axial run-outs, with construction materials selected for wear and corrosion resistance to prolong the productive seal life.

Reverse pressure capability and emergency sealing are incorporated with optional cooling flange and sanitary gland/debris catcher also available.

Seals can be supplied covering shaft sizes from 20 to 220mm diameter, covering process material temperatures from -80ø to +300øC, with linear face speeds of 4m/s.

Auxiliary equipment includes pressurised or non-pressurised liquid cooling systems, together with seal clamping products and non-rotating shaft seals.
