Flowserve President and CEO Lewis Kling accepted the Indo-American Chamber-Sanmar Indo-US Business Co-operation Award in Chennai, India.

Flowserve has received the Indo-American Chamber-Sanmar Indo-US Business Co-operation Award.

Lewis Kling, President and CEO of Flowserve accepted the award in Chennai, India on behalf of the company, who has had manufacturing operations in the country for over 40 years.

Flowserve is a world leader in fluid motion and control products and services to the oil and gas, power, chemical processing and water sectors as well as other industries.

In its inaugural year, the award was developed to recognise the efforts of individuals and business enterprises for their significant contribution in promoting Indo-US relationships through business and economic activity.

The award serves as a benchmark for excellence in building relationships between India and the US.

The award was presented by R Anand, Chairman of the Indo-American Chamber and N Sankar, Chairman of Sanmar Group, at a ceremony in Chennai attended by US and India government leaders and representatives of the international business community.

The award recognised Flowserve's business relationship and operations in India, which date back over 40 years.

In addition to its history in the region, Flowserve has company offices in Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore as well as joint venture partners located in Chennai, Hubli and Coimbatore.

"It is truly an honour to be recognised by the Indo American Chamber for the business relations we have fostered with India", said Lewis Kling, President and CEO of Flowserve.

"We are extremely pleased with the business environment in India and believe it is critical for our long-term success as a leader in our industry".

Flowserve's products are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, caustic chemicals, intense pressures and other demanding conditions in some of the most remote and developing geographies.

"Flowserve has been a great example of a company who has displayed corporate citizenship and Indo-US business relationships with India for many years", said David Hopper, US Consul General.

"It is because of this long-term commitment that they are being recognised today".
