Centre will provide dedicated support for product and technology development projects from conceptualisation through final drawings and preproduction prototypes.

Flowserve Corp has opened its new Flow Control Engineering Centre (FCEC) in Bangalore, India.

"The FCEC joins similar facilities for pumps and seals in Chennai and Bangalore", says Flowserve Chairman and CEO Lew Kling.

"The investment in this facility underscores our ongoing commitment to research and development, as well as the global nature of our business".

The centre will provide dedicated support for product and technology development projects from conceptualisation through final drawings and preproduction prototypes.

It will offer engineering support for bill of materials (BOM) generation, customer assembly drawings and automated drafting.

The FCEC will also support the development of technical documentation such as technical writeups, animations and photorealistic 3D models.

"The new facility leverages high-quality resources to support global research and development projects, as well as for customised contract engineering solutions", says Flowserve Control Division President Thomas L Pajonas.
