Wordsworth Technology describes its new 8.4in Pentium M based PPC-3310 panel PC as both robust and waterproof.

The PPC-3310 has an aluminium chassis and comes equipped with a high brightness 8.4in 350cd/m2 TFT LCD with a maximum resolution of 800 x 600, and either a Nano-7270-600 or a Nano-7270G mainboard equipped with 256Mbyte DDR333 SDRAM.

The Nano-7270G is a socket 479 board that supports Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processors.

The PPC-3310 with the Nano-7270-600 is fitted with a UP0601E 4.58A +12V power supply.

When the Nano-727-G is fitted an SPU65-105 6.66A +12V power supply is used.

One internal 2.5in hard disk drive bay, one slim type CD-ROM drive bay, and one CF Type II socket is provided.

I/O support is available for four USB 2.0 ports, one VGA, one PS/2, two RS232 ports, three RS232/422/485 ports, audio (in/out) and 10/100Mbit/s LAN (Nano-7270-600) or 10/100/1000Mbit/s LAN (Nano-7270G).

"The robust and waterproof design of the PPC-3310 panel PC makes it a perfect choice as a panel PC solution for use in harsh factory and production environments".

"The PPC-5020 can withstand shock of 10g acceleration peak to peak (11ms), and vibration of 5-17Hz (0.1in double amplitude displacement)", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.

"The PPC-3310 has support for panel, wall, rack and desktop mounting, and is shipped with a wall/panel mounting kit.

The dimensions of the PPC-3310 are 255 x 195 x 108mm.
