New Windows-based touch screen human machine interface systems offer an ideal solution to the factory or production environment.

Wordsworth Technology has released two new panel PC systems called the HMI-084 and HMI-104.

Both HMI (human machine interface) systems come equipped with a 64Mbyte DOM (disk on module) with Windows CE.NET pre-installed, and resistive touch screen LCD panels.

The HMI-084 comes with an 8.4in 640 x 480 resolution TFT LCD monitor and the HMI-104 comes with a 10.4in 800 x 600 resolution TFT LCD monitor.

Both systems come equipped with a choice of either an ETX-Eden-400 or ETX-GX-300 embedded CPU module.

A 2.5in hard disk drive bay is also available and an ACE-855A 55W AT AC power supply is fitted as standard.

"These new Windows-based touch screen human machine interface systems offer an ideal solution to the factory or production environment, allowing operators to monitor and control important activities on several machines at the same time", said Nick Coxhead, Technical Director at Wordsworth Technology.

"The fanless low noise DOM (disk on module) enables a highly reliable and stable solution with greater resistance to heat and shock than standard hard disk drives", he continued.

There are options for using DC input power supplies if required.

The HMI systems also support three RS232 serial ports, one RS232/422/485 port (selectable), a VGA port, two LAN ports, two audio ports (mic in and line out), two USB1.1 ports, a CompactFlash II interface, an LPT parallel port connector, and a PS/2 port.

The dimensions of the HMI-104 and HMI-084 are 312 x 242 x 66mm.
