Cablesafe is a very simple but effective tool for ensuring a safe working environment during turnaround projects.

The polyester "S" shaped hooks were developed some years ago in the North Sea offshore industry and are especially designed to suspend temporary electrical cables, extension cords, hoses etc during turnaround projects, maintenance jobs and construction works.

In recent years a growing number of oil companies have introduced Cablesafe to their working procedures, forbidding contractors from using steel hooks or other means for suspending cables during a turnaround.

During the construction of the ExxonMobil "Kizomba" platform Heerema Marine Contractors made intensive use of the hooks.
