Wire thread inserts meet updated standard

A WTI Fasteners product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 30, 2006

Wire thread inserts manufactured by WTI Fasteners comply with the latest version of the British standard for wire thread inserts BS7751:1994.

Following many months of work by a committee made up from industry representatives, including manufacturers, amendments have been made to the British standard for wire thread inserts BS7751:1994.

The standard covers the prevailing torque type wire thread inserts with ISO metric coarse pitch threads (screw locking).

The amendments cover dimensions in the free state (ie not fitted), and the position of the locking element in the fitted state.

Wire thread inserts manufactured by WTI Fasteners comply with the latest version of the standard.

Says Business Development Manager Mark Sandercock: "We helped to advise on the new dimensions, and we manufacture to the tightest tolerances ensuring the highest quality to meet customer demands".
