Module sends email alerts of line problems

A Witt Gas Techniques product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 23, 2006

Food and pharmaceutical packaging company engineers and technicians can get alarm call emails sent from modified atmosphere packaging line automatically using a web based module.

Food and pharmaceutical packaging company engineers and technicians no longer have to be in the vicinity of a modified atmosphere packaging line to be aware of gas mixing problems on the line.

They can get alarm call emails sent from the line automatically using a web based module, designed and manufactured by Witt Gas Techniques.

The Web I/O module can be connected between the gas mixer and the packaging company's computer network.

It is able to monitor up to 12 different gas mixers at the same time, each with its own individual, easily identified email address.

Carl Long, General Manager at Witt Gas Techniques, said: "With this easily installed piece of equipment, companies involved in modified atmosphere packaging are able to free up their engineers and technicians to carry out other tasks, while the packaging line carries on functioning properly".

"If there are any changes in the gas mix or supply, the line is shut down, he or she is remotely called and can attend to the problem".
