The new Loctite range of thread-lock and sealant sticks allow engineers to protect bolts from seizing or loosening due to vibration and can seal low pressure pipes on the spot with a minimum of mess and a maximum of convenience.

Based on the popular glue stick principle, both the thread-lock and pipe sealant variants are essentially popular anaerobic fixing and sealing agents available in handy 19g sticks that cut down on mess, wastage and take up far less space in a toolbox or pocket.

The range includes three products; a medium strength anaerobic that can be used on all types of metal fasteners with thread sizes up to M36, a high strength derivative that is ideal for use with metals such as stainless steel and those with protective coatings such as zinc and a general-purpose anaerobic pipe sealant.

The pipe sealant is intended for use with all coarse metal threads to create an instant low-pressure seal.

Thread lock will simultaneously lock and seal bolts, nuts and studs in order to prevent loosening caused by vibration.

The medium strength variant is particularly useful where the parts have to be disassembled with hand tools in readiness for future servicing or where surfaces are contaminated with oil.

It reaches functional strength in just two hours - which is useful when a speedy return to full operation is required.

The new Loctite series of thread-lock and pipe sealant products form part of Wyko's comprehensive range of maintenance products and services available from over 170 local branches nationwide.
