Wyko's newest branch in Ireland has the ability to offer a wide range of stock from major suppliers, which has led to an extremely successful start in the region.

Wyko has opened a new branch in the Finglas area of Dublin.

Wyko Ireland has the ability to offer a wide range of stock from major suppliers, which coupled with the industrial knowhow of its engineering specialists has led to an extremely successful start in the region.

Wyko Ireland can boast a huge amount of industry experience among its staff members.

Joint General Managers Paddy Keegan and Joe O'Neill both have over 30 years experience, and Sales Manager, Aidan Lillis has 18 years of experience.

Finally, David Kennedy, Inside Sales who is described as "the youngster on the team" has a mere decade of experience behind him.

Eriks acquired Wyko in November 2006 and this branch is the first opportunity for Irish customers to experience the combined strength of Wyko's engineering solutions and the Eriks Group's knowhow.

Working with Wyko to streamline their MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) regime, through the provision of both products and services, helps customers improve their productivity.

Strategically located on the North Side of Dublin, Wyko Ireland looks after the 26 counties of Ireland from this central location.

It offers a next day delivery throughout the country and is supported from Wyko's distribution network in the UK with regular replenishment from the national distribution centre in Halesowen.

A major benefit of the branch's opening is that Irish industry can now easily access world leading brands that are only available through Wyko.

These exclusive brands include the full range of Fenner power transmission products and SRB split roller bearings.

Other leading brands include NSK and SKF bearings plus Rocol and Loctite lubricants, Falk couplings and WEG motors - foot and flanged with a capacity up to 90kW.

It is estimated that the new branch holds over Eur 600,000 worth of stock in engineering spares and consumables.

While the availability of products is vital it is the experience and knowhow of the staff at Wyko Ireland that really sets it apart from its competitors.

Between them they have great experience of the food, quarrying, chemical, pharmaceutical and dairy industries plus access to local engineering and the technical support of Wyko in the UK.

Keegan and O'Neill believe that at this point business is on the increase and feel that this is down not only to the fantastic line of products but also to the extra service capability which its experienced staff can bring.

One of the new initiatives that has been introduced is a 24/7 emergency service facility and it is because of Wyko, Ireland's willingness to provide such extra service levels, in addition to its knowhow, that it is getting such good support from industry in Ireland.
