Acquisition expands scope of motor
services
The acquisition of Forco by Wyko extends a relationship, which has been established for some time and geographically gives Wyko an extended reach.
Wyko has acquired Exeter-based Forco Electrical Services The specialist industrial electric motor service and repair company will become part of the WEMS (Wyko Electrical Mechanical Services) division and will represent the company's most southerly facility

Steve Askins, Managing Director of WEMS says of the acquisition: "Forco is a good fit with us given its engineering know how and reputation for excellent service".
"We are looking to recruit more engineers and to invest in the business with an immediate cash injection of GBP 80,000 to buy new equipment".
"We are also looking to invest in the existing staff through comprehensive training which will allow the new service centre to offer extended services".
The South West region is an area that has seen increasing activity from Wyko, as the company recently won a major contract with South West Water, to support its pumping stations that supply water to Devon and Cornwall.
Commenting on the benefits of the acquisition, Krzywinski says: "As well as our traditional specialist services, teaming up with Wyko will allow us to tap into everything that they do and offer new services to our customers".
"We can now offer genuinely state-of-the-art condition monitoring, electronic repairs, drive repairs and also there is now no limit to the capacity of large electrical motors which we can repair".
"With the investment from Wyko, alongside such other factors as an improved IT system, we will be able to improve our efficiency which in turn will benefit all of our customers".
