Flange gaskets handle extreme environmnets

A Pipeline Seal and Insulator Co product story

LineSeal flanges are available in ANSI, ASME, API, MSS, BS, DIN and AS specifications and can mate mismatched RTJ with raised-face flanges.

Pipeline Seal and Insulator Company (PSI) has introduced flange gaskets for use in extreme, critical service environments.

The LineSeal range is suitable for particularly harsh operating conditions, including those with significant vibration, temperature and pressure fluctuations.

They are therefore particularly suitable for pipeline systems in oil, gas and petrochemical industries, where zero emission performance is essential.

The new gaskets, which have already received Shell company approval for use in their oil production and refining environments, are designed specifically for use in high-quality flange sealing applications, but can also be used as a component part of flange electrical isolation kits.

They are available to match any flange specification, including ANSI, ASME, API, MSS, BS, DIN and AS and can mate mismatched RTJ with raised-face flanges.

Their construction ensures that they will withstand extremely corrosive environments, including high concentrations of CO2, H2S and aggressive inhibitors.

They also offer outstanding electrical isolation properties for cathodic protection.

The flanges have a stainless steel core for strength and are bonded between G-10 laminates, incorporating a spring-energised seal element.

The pressure-activated seals provide high-integrity sealing, eliminating costly leaks and providing a solution for fugitive emissions.
