Tactile sensor boasts nanometre precision
New from Xpress Precision Engineering, the Gannen-XP is a high-accuracy 3D tactile sensor for CMM metrology on artefacts and micro products.

The 3D repeatability is in the order of nanometres.
The low suspension stiffness, down to 10N/m, and colliding mass, as low as 50mg, greatly reduces the risk of workpiece damage and makes the probe ideal for measuring small and fragile components.
The probe can be supplied with probe tips of 50-500um diameter.
