CPE and CPL switching power supplies can repeatedly deliver twice their nominal output current for up to 10s, making them ideal for industrial applications where short-duration high peak loads occur.

The ability to repeatedly deliver twice their nominal output current for up to 10s means that power supplies in the CPE and CPL families eliminate the problem of having to overspecify AC/DC switchers in industrial applications where short-duration, high peak loads occur As these power supplies no longer need to be specified based on nominal ratings matching peak current loads, this feature can halve the cost and size of providing power for such applications

In addition, both CPE and CPL switchers are convection cooled, so the expense of providing forced-air cooling is avoided.

Typical applications for the 100 to 240W power supplies are in switchgear, automation and motor control systems.

CPE models are single output units rated between 100 and 240W with typical efficiencies up to 87%.

Output voltages are 24, 36 or 48V DC, adjustable by +/-10%, and maximum line regulation is 48mV and load regulation +/-0.3% from zero to 100% load.

CPL versions are dual output, 100 to 225W power supplies offering a standard +5V output for powering logic circuits, adjustable by +/-10%, and an isolated +12 or +24V output with high peak current capability.

Typical efficiency is up to 80% with line regulation of +/-0.4% and load regulation within +/-0.8%.

Both CPE and CPL power supplies feature universal AC input, compact construction, optional remote on/off, and an operating temperature range of -10 to +70C.

Optional screw terminals, cover kits, and connector and loom kits are also offered.

Input-to-output isolation is 3kV AC for both models.

These rugged power units comply with international EMC specifications and have UL, EN, and CSA safety approvals.

Both are available from stock.
