Switchers meet peak industrial demands
CPE and CPL switching power supplies can repeatedly deliver twice their nominal output current for up to 10s, making them ideal for industrial applications where short-duration high peak loads occur.
Flexibility is key for modular UPS systems
A new series of uninterruptible power supplies uses a single, standard battery across the range and can be used in stand-alone, rack-mounted or stacking formats.
Additionally, the unit features Class I and Class II approvals, EN61000-3-2 compliance, and Level B performance for conducted emissions, so there is no compromise in specification.
Outputs are from +3.3 to +48V DC and the power supplies have safety approvals for any voltage within this range, including custom-specified outputs.
Input voltage is from 85-264V AC (170-270V DC) and efficiency is up to 87%.
The compact size of the ECM100 has been achieved by minimising component count and using just two heatsinks - half the number found in most alternative designs.
In addition, the design of the flyback convertor combines continuous and discontinuous modes of operation to enable a much smaller transformer to be used.
The ECM100 has very low earth leakage current: less than 100uA at 115V AC and less than 200uA at 230V AC.
Inrush current is 40A maximum at 230V AC with the input protected by 3.15A fuses in both line and neutral.
Input to output isolation is 4000V AC.
Outputs are adjustable by +/-5% on 3.3V and 5V models and by +/-10% on those with higher output voltages.
Line and load regulation are +/-0.5% and +/-1% respectively and there is no minimum load requirement.
The operating temperature range is 0 to +80C and the power supplies have over-temperature, over-voltage, and overload protection built in.
