Threebond introduces acrylate-based adhesive

A ThreeBond Europe product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 30, 2008

Threebond has introduced its 1359E adhesive, a universal quick-curing, one component reactive adhesive on the basis of acrylate.

The combination of anaerobic and heat curing employed with Threebond's 1359E makes it suitable for the assembly, repair and industrial manufacturing of high-strength elastic joints with large gaps.

Its polymeric curing is effected quickly, for example 10 minutes at 120C, producing a flexible resin that provides good sealing and resistance to adverse effects of heat, moisture and vibration.

It is particularly suited for use in electric motors, for example, bonding ferrite magnets in all types of motor, from prime-mover to servo or computer drives and other micro electronics.

Applications include electronic, office, audio, energy-saving and information-related equipment.
