Based on Xycom CPU boards designed specifically for industrial applications, high performance is ensured by use of Intel Celeron, Pentium II and Pentium III processors.

To survive the rigours of the plant floor, the 3515KPM has a front panel sealed to IP65 and meets FCC, UL and CE requirements.

Operator input is provided by a 74-position keypad and industrial mouse.

All alpha characters can be accessed, as can the "START" and "EXPLORE" keys.

Keypad options provide legend and keycode flexibility whilst maximising display space.

An optional analogue resistive touchscreen rated at 30 million touches is also available.

The standard 3515KPM system includes 2.1Gb IDE hard disk and 1.44Mb floppy disk.

Factory fitted options include larger hard disks or flash drives, 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, choice of Microsoft_ operating systems and 24V DC power supply.

The 3515KPM can also be configured with pre-installed HMI or PC-control software to give "out-of-the-box" functionality.

Xycom Automation's OpenHMI enables engineers and maintenance personnel to develop applications that allow operators to see a manufacturing process or analyse machine performance.

OpenCNTRL offers a set of control languages and software tools.

It is easy to integrate the control and HMI functions through a common database giving a high level of functionality for low cost of ownership.
