Italian office has state-of-the-art facilities

Yaskawa Engineering Europe has opened an engineering support office in Milan.

With the Italian market now accounting for almost 20% of all Yaskawa CNC installations in Europe and with an increasing number of local users and large Japanese manufacturers, Yaskawa Engineering Europe (EEU) has opened an engineering support office in Milan.

Situated at Cerro al Lambro, the new office is close to the Autostrada A1 - exit Melegnano.

The new branch office is the first step in an EEU Group expansion strategy, focused on offering total solutions and lifetime care at the local level.

The office will provide the complete range of EEU services, including after-sales and engineering support for machine tools and general mechatronics.

Existing Yaskawa customers are assured of continuity, as experienced engineers and service technicians from Yaskawa's previous Italian service partner company, Tema, will staff the office.

Service Manager, Maurizio Dinatale, 40, founded Tema in 1999, following 10 years of machine tool service experience.

He is joined by other ex-Tema members: including Service Engineer Marco Franzese, 33, who had nine years of machine tool service experience before joining Tema in 2001.

Sales Assistant Bruna Moretti will be responsible for accounting and administration issues.

Italy is now the largest single European sales market for Yaskawa's mechatronics products, including inverter drives, servo drives and machine controllers.

As the products play such a crucial role in a wide range of applications across industry, EEU's engineering support service is geared to providing customer solutions, with the shortest possible downtime: keeping plants productive and machinery running while problems are being solved.

With some 220m2 devoted to warehouse, product testing and an emergency repair workshop, the Italian office has state-of-the-art facilities, well prepared to handle any kind of service request.

In the case of an emergency breakdown, EEU Italy is ready to provide on-site service within 24 hours.

A comprehensive inventory of Yaskawa original spare parts ensures that spares are available at a short notice.
