Italians are famous for their passion and nowhere is this more evident than in EEU's Milan office at Cerro al Lambro.

Because it is so focused on the end user, EEU's service is a great benefit to OEMs who know that when they fit Yaskawa equipment there is strong local technical support that also extends globally when machines are exported.

Similarly, imported machines equipped with Yaskawa products are maintained anywhere in the country.

EEU Milan is proud of the fact that it generally achieves a 24 hour on-site response anywhere in the country.

Italy is now the largest single European sales market for Yaskawa Mechatronics products, including inverter drives, servo drives, and machine controllers.

Since the products play such a crucial role in a wide range of applications across industry, EEU's engineering support service is geared to providing customer solutions, with the shortest possible "downtime": keeping plants productive and machinery running whilst problems are being solved.

Indeed, with the Italian market now accounting for almost 20% of all Yaskawa CNC installations in Europe, and with an increasing number of local users and large Japanese manufacturers, the Milan office has grown from start up to one million Euros in its first year of operation.

Growth is planned at a rate of 20% a year.

Maurizio Dinatale doesn't hide his feelings about what his team are trying to achieve.

"What we offer is so much stronger than most equipment suppliers", he explained: "for OEMs when a machine needs servicing, they have the complete responsibility for it and must send parts back to the manufacturer for repair".

"In collaboration with machine builders, we can go straight to the end user and effect repairs much more quickly - and this reflects very well on the original machine supplier".

The complete range of EEU services are offered by the Milan centre including machine audits, re-engineering and exchange programmes.

The 220m2 facility has a warehouse, product testing and an emergency repair workshop.

There are also state-of-the-art systems to make the business well prepared to handle any kind of service request.

This is backed by a comprehensive inventory of original Yaskawa parts to ensure that spares are available at short notice.
