Software improves finish on maching centre
Yamazen (UK) is offering a highly accurate vertical machining centre designed to provide the levels of surface quality and integrity demanded by the mould sector
Yamazen is supplying the LCV30A as standard in this country equipped with a 15,000 rev/min spindle, swarf extraction system and through-the-tool coolant.
While primarily aimed at the rapid production of light alloy components, the machine is designed around cast iron elements (for the bed, column, spindle head, cross table and base) to provide excellent dynamic rigidity and vibration resistance.
As such, it can also be used to effectively machine a wide range of steel components. The LCV30A is a highly productive model with rapid traverse rates of 36 m/minin X and Y and 30 m/min in the Z axis, rigid tapping at 6000 rev/min, toolchange time of 0.8 sec and, a table index time (180ø) of just 4 sec.
Cutting feed rates are up to 10,000 mm/min.
Spindle design features ultra-precise, highspeed angular contact ball bearings which are pre-loaded for optimum performance.
Equipped with a high performance 3 kW spindle motor, the centre has an NT 30 spindle nose, a 500 by 425 mm work table, a positioning accuracy of 0.006 mm (in accordance with ISO230/2) and a compact Fanuc 18MC control system.
Providing high speed cutting with minimal idle times, the LCV30A can optimise production on a whole range of components.
It does not take up much room either with a floor area of just 1.42by 3.44 m.
