Enquiries stand up at MACH 2002

The number of enquiries we received during the five day event was about the same as for MACH 2000".
Making its European debut at the show, the Fadal EMC low cost machining centre attracted much attention.
This compact machine has axis travels of 508 x 406 x 355mm, a 16-station ATC and is powered by a 12hp motor which provides spindle speeds up to 7500rev/min.
The acronym stands for economy machining centre, and this American-built model sells for just GBP 29,950.
Another machine which drew visitors on to the stand was the Mitsubishi M-H5B high speed horizontal machining centre.
And following several initial discussions, Yamazen now has a number of key project leads to pursue for this twin-pallet machine.
As well as having many positive enquiries to follow up, Yamazen also sold a machine at the exhibition.
For Newman Labelling Machines Ltd in Barnet, Hertfordshire, ordered a Fadal VMC 4020 on the stand.
This mid-size VMC will be used to increase the company's all-round capacity in the production of labelling machines for pill packs and bottles.
