Yaskawa will introduce a ready-to-install SGT integrated linear slider axis at the Motek trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany.

According to the company, which will be found on Stand 7.2.05, Hall 7, the all-in-one solution - which is also available in an IP67 version - requires virtually no maintenance and consists of profile rails, linear guides, sliders, a linear motor, an encoder and plug-in power electronics.

Thanks to a specific surface coating, the unit may be cleaned using aggressive detergents and pressure washers.

The linear slider standard versions are available in four installation sizes with instantaneous peak force values of up to 5,400N and traverse path lengths of up to 6m.

Upon prior agreement, Yaskawa can also prepare customised adaptations of standard solutions and gantry and multi-axis systems.

The linear slider features extreme positioning accuracy and highly dynamic moves at high travel speeds.

Short stabilisation times help to increase machine throughput.

High efficiency ensures low energy consumption and simple system integration yields engineering expense reductions.

The company claims that, paired with Yaskawa servo amplifiers, the linear sliders can achieve approximately 30 per cent faster positioning times and thus increase productivity by an additional 30 per cent.
