Yaskawa offers small-component assembly system

A Yaskawa Electric Europe product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 31, 2009

Yaskawa has introduced the F50-G253 electrically driven small-component assembly system, which features a highly dynamic positioning action coupled with absolute precision.

The linear direct-drive system features a combination of carbon and aluminium materials and offers high rigidity and low weight.

The solution does not require the additional support structures that are normally needed in conventional systems.

Thanks to its combination of good dynamic properties and highly precise positioning, the new multi-axis system is suitable for applications that call for high acceleration values and short cycles such as in neurosurgery or nanomechanics in conjunction with lasers or X-rays.

The high-speed axis system is also suitable for industrial handling and assembly, pick-and-place systems in electronics, measurement and testing, medical engineering and applications in the packaging and food industries.

The handling system is offered as an integrated, ready-to-install solution that consists of Yaskawa linear motors and servo amplifiers and a machine controller that features IEC 61131 programming.

All components are matched, allowing for the creation of compact, low-maintenance drive solutions with maximum performance and minimum energy consumption.

The company also delivers customised drive solutions for specific customer needs and offers support from first concept to start of production.
