Yokogawa UK is now offering a cost-effective hire service on its ranges of high-performance recording instruments, giving users the opportunity to fulfil short-term requirements without the need to purchase outright.

The service covers a full range of recorders, from 100 mm multipoint and pen types, through 180 mm, 24-channel models, up to 250 mm, 300-channel versions.

Also included are the recently introduced paperless VR200 Series, the DC100 expandable data-collection system, and PC-based logging and evaluation software.

Renting instruments is an ideal way of temporarily replacing products that need to be taken offline for maintenance or recalibration.

Another typical requirement occurs during commissioning of process plants, where it may be necessary to monitor a large number of parameters intensively for a relatively short period of time.

'The hire service is a logical extension of our customer service operation, and we believe that customers will be happier renting directly from us than through a third party', comments Dave Whiting, Manager of Yokogawa's Customer Service Division...

'Existing customers feel more comfortable dealing with a supplier that they know offers quality and excellence.

In addition, as companies reduce their numbers of suppliers, it makes sense to amalgamate instrument purchase and hire from the same source.'.
