Yokogawa distributed process control systems have been officially recognised by the Fieldbus Foundation as the first host systems to support Foundation Fieldbus technologies in an interoperable manner
Yokogawa's Centum CS3000 and CS1000 distributed process control systems have been officially recognised by the Fieldbus Foundation as the first host systems to support Foundation Fieldbus technologies in an interoperable manner.
Yokogawa recently became the first vendor to successfully test against the interoperability procedures under the supervision of Fieldbus Foundation officials, the tests being carried out at the company's American headquarters in Houston, Texas.
The Fieldbus Foundation launched its Host System Interoperability Test Project during 2000 with the aim of improving interoperability between Foundation Fieldbus devices and host systems.
Recognising the importance of this testing, Yokogawa offered its Centum CS1000 and CS3000 systems for the tests.
Yokogawa has recently further enhanced its Foundation Fieldbus offering with the addition of the world's first redundant H1 Foundation Fieldbus I/O card for use in high-integrity applications, plus a new Foundation Fieldbus 4-channel I/O card with four distinct FF segments.
These latest releases further consolidate Yokogawa's position as one of the leaders in Fieldbus technology, and demonstrate the company's ongoing commitment to the founding principles of interoperability.
