Batch validation meets FDA record requirements
A batch validation package that complies with the latest FDA requirements on the storage of electronic records in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries has been introduced by Yokogawa.
Typical applications are in the monitoring, control and data logging of temperature-dependent equipment or processes, including kilns, drying furnaces, food sterilisation, pharmaceutical processing and waste-water treatment.
The CX1000 and CX2000 are easy to use and configure, with simple screens and function keys guiding the user through the set-up process for ranges and control parameters.
Each station comes with a variety of screens as standard.
Faceplate and tuning screens are used for system operation and monitoring, while trending and recording functions make it simple to log data for management purposes such as quality control.
Data from externally wired temperature controllers can also be monitoring and logged.
The embedded control loops reduce the number of hardware components required, thereby minimising the volume of equipment enclosures.
Acquisition of control data is achieved by connecting the station to an external temperature controller through a serial communication channel, which dramatically reduces the amount of wiring.
The CX1000 and CX2000 stations are fitted with an Ethernet interface as standard.
Web browser and e-mail facilities allow monitoring of control status and alarm annunciation from remote locations.
