Yokogawa has been awarded a contract by BP Exploration for the design, engineering, supply and installation of a new integrated control and safety system for the Bruce platform in the North Sea.

Under the Bruce Controls Improvement Project, Yokogawa will provide an integrated solution based on its well proven fifth-generation Centum CS3000 control system combined with the ProSafe-RS safety system to replace the existing obsolete control and safety equipment.

Centum CS3000 offers a truly robust integrated plant solution.

It employs a deterministic data highway with predictable performance under all plant conditions.

The performance of the processors, data highway, I/O modules and subsystems can be calculated, early in the project, and verified prior to implementation.

The project will replace the existing control and monitoring system, the emergency shutdown system and the fire and gas system along with the human-machine interface system.
