Services optimise maintenance
The Lifecycle Management Programme creates a lifecycle plan for each customer's system.
This will enable the company to contribute to the standardisation of control device specifications, improvement of engineering quality and reduction of costs and delivery times.
This is the first time Yokogawa has won an MAC contract in Thailand.
This plant complex will be constructed at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, which is located in Rayong, southeast of Bangkok.
It is the largest petrochemical project in Thailand.
A key part of the complex will be a naphtha cracker plant with an annual production capacity of 1.7 million tons (900,000 tons of ethylene and 800,000 tons of propylene).
This plant complex will also produce downstream products and have an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons for both high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene.
For higher propylene output, an olefins conversion technology (OCT) will be used that converts butene and ethylene to propylene using a catalyst.
The plant will also employ the latest technology to enable the use of such materials as naphtha as well as light condensate obtained from the natural gas extraction and generation process.
Yokogawa will deliver a Centum CS 3000 integrated production control system and ProSafe-RS safety instrumented system, as well as approximately 60 GC1000 Mark II process gas chromatographs and 5000 field sensors, such as pressure transmitters and flowmeters.
