Young Calibration now offers the portable HumGen humidity calibrator for laboratory or on-site applications, with a simplistic front panel operation, and requiring only a mains power supply.

The self-contained and easy to use unit enables rapid calibration of relative humidity probes, and temperature measurement devices.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the unit is aimed at the busy calibration laboratory and site calibration engineers involved with multiple RH probe installations.

The HumGen incorporates a twin air pumping system with integral gas drying and gas saturation generator chambers, system heating and cooling, and full system control in a single portable housing.

Probe calibrations can be undertaken in minutes using the HumGen calibrator.

The calibrator uses a two-flow system, providing a dry air stream by pumping the air through a gas dryer chamber and a wet air stream by pumping the air through a custom designed vapour generator.

In practice the HumGen provides a stable homogeneous environment covering a temperature range of 18-40C and a humidity range of 10-90% RH.

Maximum capabilities can be extended to cover a temperature range of 14-50C and a humidity range of 5-95% RH at a reduced system accuracy.

Camber temperature control is achieved using a balance of Peltier pumps and wall heating with a low flow air circulator, all coupled to individually calibrated PID controllers.

Supplied as a complete system, ready to use straight out of the box, the calibrator also comes with a complete accessory kit, containing a spare quick change gas dryer, spare drying agent, distilled water, filling tube and syringe pump.

Options can be specified for, an external system for pumping into a remote chamber, reference chilled mirror device or with PC controlled software using a RS232 or USB connection.
