The Young Calibration laboratory has calibrated rotameters from various manufacturers, on water, fuels, oils, air and gases.

Rotameter calibration is sometimes an overlooked issue And although a rotameter has limited moving parts, such devices do perform a critical role for flow measurement accuracy and should be scheduled for periodic cleaning and recalibration

There are many types of rotometer on the market, and although they may differ in size, material construction and appearance, they all do basically the same job.

Ensuring that a rotameter is scheduled for periodic recalibration and cleaned regularly will ensure users maintain the best performance of their flow measurement equipment.

A rotameter is basically a gauge that consists of a graduated tube containing a float that moves up and down as the flow rate changes.

They are used for the measurement of water or air flow.

During service use, the rotameter will often accumulate foreign material on the float and/or on the tube, and will eventually cause inaccuracy within the meter.

In many cases, a yearly rotometer calibration will keep measurements accurate and save time and money in maintenance.

The Young Calibration laboratory has calibrated rotameters from various manufacturers, on water, fuels, oils, air and gases.

Offering traceable calibrations, quick turnaround and cost efficiency, Young Calibration provides its clients with a complete solution for rotameter calibration and servicing.

UKAS accredited calibrations can also be arranged through partner companies operating to the ISO17025 calibration standard.
