Filter elements provide greater surface area

A Zander-Hiross product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 15, 2000

Using a Zander element on a 160kW compressed air installation could achieve annual savings of around £1500.

Zander (UK) Ltd, specialists in the treatment of compressed air and gas, manufacture a range of high performance pleated filter elements that provide at least four times greater surface area than conventional wrapped elements.

Independent testing has also shown that a lower pressure differential of 0.2 bar between Zander pleated elements and wrapped elements achieves significant energy and cost savings.

For example, using a Zander element on a 160kW compressed air installation could achieve annual savings of around £1500.

The Zander range of elements is available to improve the performance of compressed air filters from other manufacturers.

The range covers all types of compressors from ¼" to 300mm pipe sizes and is available in five grades from coarse pre-filter to fine oil and oil vapour removal.

Zander filter elements are also machine made to provide more consistent performance and longer service life than hand-made wrapped filters.

Applications for Zander high performance elements include automotive and general manufacturing, process engineering and electronics production.
