Zander-Hiross has introduced the PoleStar range of modular refrigeration dryers, which are fitted with a patented heat exchanger called the 'DryPack' DryPack positions the three stages - air-to-air, evaporator and demister - in sequence, enabling a process known as Continuous Active Separation to remove condensate immediately and continuously along the entire length of the heat exchanger

The process is assisted by very wide and short air paths that allow low air velocities and consequently, low pressure drops.

The benefit for PoleStar users is maximum efficiency and a guaranteed low dew point.

The oversized demister in the DryPack system requires no maintenance and has the added advantage of achieving a cold coalescence effect to further purify the air.

Unlike centrifugal designs the demister also operates just as efficiently at partial airflows.

Other features of the PoleStar include: scroll compressors that reduce noise and power consumption to provide energy savings up to 30%; a Cold Mass function that allows energy savings of up to 80% when operating in stand-by mode; and modular construction that excludes it from pressure vessel approvals.

PoleStar dryers operate at air inlet temperatures up to 60C and ambient temperatures of 50C, making them ideal for almost any application.

The quality of compressed air can be further improved by installing Zander high efficiency filters to eliminate dirt and oil.

Most PoleStar models are available ex-stock, enabling companies with wet compressed air problems to solve them very quickly.

Tamworth based Zander-Hiross supports the new PoleStar range with long-term warranties and a factory-trained service team, to ensure that the dryers operate at optimum performance.
