Centaur Media is holding a conference dedicated to the nuclear-power industry.

The conference comes under The Lawyer brand, so there is a focus on the opportunities available to law firms; but given the topics covered in the programme, Centaur expects this conference to appeal to all in the nuclear sector.

The core target is in-house counsel, heads of nuclear/projects and directors of nuclear strategy from energy, construction and reactor vendor companies, as well as heads of practice from law firms, consultancies and banks.

Speakers include experts from energy, construction and reactor vendor companies as well as law firms and banks.

Over the two days, the speakers will update delegates on UK and international energy policy and regulation, progress of the GDA programme, and will address key issues, including waste and decommissioning financing and developing an effective procurement strategy for nuclear new build.

The conference will also offer a series of case studies on new builds in the Middle East, Africa and China.

Supply-chain companies were keen to be involved in the panel session on exploring the differences in supplying the US, UK and Chinese markets; and where the opportunities lie for UK and internationally based companies.

Centaur timed the conference to coincide with the planning of the first UK projects.
